The Public Health Center offers vaccines and tests for free or for a fee. No one is denied these services if they are unable to pay. There is free HIV testing and STD testing costs $10 for Boone County Residents. 


The fees for the tests and vaccines can vary based on age, income, age, and insurance status. 

WIC (Woman, Infant, Children Supplemental Program)
•A supplemental nutrition program for women, infants and children 
•Provides services to pregnant women, new mothers, infants, and children up to five years of age who are at nutritional risk, based on eligibility
Services Offered:
  • Health screening with risk assessment 
  • Nutrition education and counseling 
  • Breastfeeding Promotion and support 
  • Referrals to services specific to individual needs such as health care providers and social services agencies 
  • Issuing food instruments for supplemental nutritious food prescription
Eligibility based on income and nutritional risk factor (must meet one) and after meeting with a local WIC center.
